Save these backup codes somewhere safe (a password manager, printed copy). Each one works once, in place of an authenticator code, if you ever lose access to your device. They will not be shown again.

Password reset requires your authenticator app or a backup code — there's no email step. Accounts without two-factor authentication enabled can't be self-reset this way.
